If you are tired of the usual salgados, add something new to your party menu. Mini Burgers are crowd pleasers.
Ingredients:
- 500g minced beef
- 1/3 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 1 large onion, grated
- One Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/3 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 tbs mixed dried herbs
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/3 cup of olive oil
Place all of your ingredients in a bowl and mix well. With a 4-6 cm round cutter, shape your burger patties. To heat, you can fry them in a skillet. Or when I have a large guest list, I place them on a cooking sheet and bake them in the oven, adding cheese as they are almost done.
To mount: sandwich your burgers between the bun. (I usually order the buns from the bakery. Don’t forget to ask for sesame seeds.) Add lettuce, tomato, and the condiment of choice. To keep your burger closed, experiment with decorative toothpicks…
Enjoy!
